  • Premiere of nationally-televised "EGG the arts show" segment on hula, featuring: Nona Beamer, Maile Loo, and Sonny Ching; work of HPS is noted on EGG's website

  • Receive grant from the Robert E. Black Fund, for development of a prototype Online Multimedia Hula Library

  • Mention of HPS work in "Old Friends" column of MidWeek newspaper which profiled Nona Beamer

  • Appearance by Nona Beamer and Maile Loo on the KHON Morning show with Leslie Wilcox and Kirk Matthews to discuss HPS
